5) New Generation Wrestling
New Generation Wrestling was founded by Luke Ingamells in 2008 but is currently owned and run by Richard Dun. From 2012 until 2015 NGW was the feature promotion on Challenge TV's program British Wrestling Weekly which aired throughout the UK and in several countries around the world. NGW are most famous for hosting the Davey Boy Cup Tournament throughout late 2014- early 2015, won by 'Liverpool's Number 1' Zack Gibson, as well as the Destiny Rumble which guarantees the winner a World Title shot. The promotion has also played host to well-known talents Rampage Brown, Paul London, and Doug Williams. You can watch NGW on British Wrestling Weekly, which now airs on Youtube.
4) Pro Wrestling Eve
Pro Wrestling Eve is an all female promotion that began it's shows in 2010. Although not on an arena scale the promotion does achieve huge success touring theaters and leisure centres, and was the first ever company to hold and all-female wrestling event in London. The promotion is a cross between Shine Wrestling and Progress with a Punk atmosphere at their shows. Nikki Storm, Kay Lee Ray, and current Champion Charlie Morgan are some of the top names to have appeared on their cards. With popularity rising the future looks bright for the women at Pro Wrestling Eve.
3) Defiant Wrestling
Defiant Wrestling, once known as What Culture Pro Wrestling, is based in Newcastle, and was founded in May 2016. 2) Progress Wrestling
Progress Wrestling is one of two major British promotions to really make a statement, not just did they draw 2,400 fans into the Brixton Academy, but they have also gained a contract with the WWE in order to use NXT superstars. As talents such as Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate made their name in Progress before moving the NXT it is clear why the WWE are so keen on allowing there developmental talent the opportunity to return to their home promotion to continue their success. Progress has also teamed with German company WXW and USA's Evolve in order to put on shows around the world. Due to it's grungy feel, Progress has gained the nickname 'Punk Rock of Pro Wrestling' , paying homage to how their shows are promoted and their strong following.
