Showcase: Ruthless Women

Last time of Showcase we looked at the Intercontinental Championship and it's illustrious history.  This week we take a look at some of the standout times of the women, including Trish Stratus, Lita, and Melina, who played a central role in defining the Ruthless Aggression era.

Melina and Candice Michelle start their match at Night of Champions 2007.  Candice won the match and captured the Women's Championship for the first, and only time, but lost the belt to Beth Phoenix 4 months later in October.

Trish Stratus levels Lita with a huge kick to the head in the first ever Raw women's main event match.  Lita would go on to defeat Stratus and end the night as the new Women's Champion.

Trish Stratus takes on Mickie James at Wrestlemania 22 in a match where James would win her first Women's Championship.  Stratus would regain the belt at Unforgiven 2006 for the last ever time.

Candice Michelle leaves The Bash 2007 after retaining her Women's Championship which she won from Melina 1 month earlier at Night of Champions.

Lita makes her entrance on an episode of Raw in 2006.  Lita held the Women's Championship three times within the Ruthless Aggression years making her a true legend of the era.

The wave of change continues to ripple throughout the wrestling world as it has officially been announced that, after 29 years wrestling for the WWE, The Undertaker has retired from the squared-circle. Randy Orton to Sign With AEW

Last week it was rumored that WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar was in talks with All Elite Wrestling, with a possible move after Wrestlemania 35, and this week, according to Destination PW , it is said that the Florida outfit has now approached 'The Viper' to be their first direct signing from WWE. Randy Orton has been with the WWE for 17 years and since his in-ring debut in April 2002 and has gone on to have 17 various title reigns across both the Raw and Smackdown brands as well as being a 2 time Royal Rumble winner and 1 time Money in the Bank winner.  Orton is one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of the company, and currently holds the position of the veteran heel, a role which would surely become void if he was to leave for AEW.  The motives for 'The Apex Predator' being in talks with AEW is not know, but is presumably linked with a bigger pay check and a less intense work schedule.  What we do know is that if Orton did jump ship a large portion of
