Top 5 Superstars in Raw History!

Hello Boomers and welcome back to another edition of wrestling boom action.  Last time out we took a look at Smackdown's best ever superstars in which The Undertaker was crowned number 1.  Today it only makes sense that we look at Raw's all time greats.  Remember guys, this only counts for the years in which the brands had exclusive talent, that being from 2002 until 2011 and then 2016 to the present day, anything before or in-between is not taken into consideration....here goes!

5) Randy Orton

Randy Orton debuted in the WWE on Smackdown, however was soon sent to Raw and became a pivotal member of the brand, joining stablemates Batista, Ric Flair, and Triple H in Evolution.  Within 2 years Orton had captured the World Heavyweight Title standing atop the Raw mountain and has, since then, moved on to hold the WWE Title several times between 2007 and 2010 whilst being a member of the Red-brand.  During his time on Raw, Orton competed against, and bested, other top talent such as Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and John Cena, tearing his way through the roster and carving out his own Legacy at the same time.  Although the Legend Killer has been an exlcusive Raw talent since early 2011, he is still among the brands premier all-time competitors. Mr Orton, as devilish as you can be, we all love you!

4) Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins was drafted to Raw during the July 2016 Superstar Shake-up as the number 1 pick and made an instant impact on the brand.  Although never capturing the Universal Title whilst on Raw, Rollins in the current Intercontinental Champion and has held the Tag Team Titles along side fellow Shield cohort Dean Ambrose.  Rollins' best matches have come against Kevin Owens, Cesaro & Sheamus in tag action, and mostly recently Dolph Ziggler.  Rollins is a reliable performer with his matches never falling short of very-good even when facing average opponents and is a staple of the Raw brand in the modern era.

3) Shawn Michaels

If there is any superstar that has given more loyalty to Raw than Shawn Micheals then please inform me, because I can't find one.  Michaels joined Raw when he returned from injury in 2002 and, after winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series of the same year, never looked back.  HBK remained on the brand until his in-ring retirement in 2010 meaning for almost 8 years of his career he was exclusively wrestling on Raw and is in fact the only main event wrestler to be signed exclusively to Raw, never moving to Smackdown.  Only holding a World Title once did not hinder the impression Michaels made, as he also captured the Tag Titles with John Cena and main evented opposite Cena, Triple H, Randy Orton, and Chris Jericho, putting on excellent outings every time.

2) John Cena

John Boy, where to start? That's the question.  Perhaps we could start with him bringing the WWE Championship to Raw during the June 2005 draft or the fact that he is the most decorated Champion in the brands history.  Whatever year you look at between 2005 and 2011 John Cena will most likely be main eventing a Raw show or main event often for the WWE Title against long-time rivals Triple H, Edge, and Randy Orton.  Tearing the roof off the building on dozens of occasions, Cena was Raw's most passionate and dedicated in-ring talent for 6 years straight and became the world's most famous and popular superstar whilst doing so.  Cena even returned from a supposed 6 month injury in 3 months to defeated Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Title in November 2008. Whether you love him or hate him you can't deny the Dr. his achievements whilst a part of Raw.

1) Triple H

The infamous Triple H WAS Raw for the better part of three years, from 2002 until mid-2005 The Game ruled the roost holding the WHC several times and seeing off competition for fun.  During these three years Triple H lead Evolution in decimating the roster and aiding his fellow stable-mates to title success of their own.  HHH remained on Raw until 2008, but soon returned in 2009 for another 4 year run.  Triple H's best Raw exclusive matches came against Kane at No Mercy 2003, Randy Orton at Unforgiven 2004, and John Cena at Night of Champions 2009.  Triple H elevated both himself and many other talents and will always be Raw's all-time number 1.

So Triple H, the man that will be facing Smackdown's number 1 at Super Showdown on October 6th, has been crowned Raw's greatest Superstar of all time.  Who will win at Showdown, Raws Greatest or Smackdown's Greatest?  Please comment below and come back soon.
